Snow-shoe hiking is not only a form of movement in winter, but connects sport and nature in a simple way and, with just a little effort, is manageable by anyone.

Even our ancestors used snow-shoes or snow-tires to reach remote feeding of wild animals or mountain huts. A snow-shoe has a larger surface area than a normal shoe and therefore sinks less in the snow. A power-saving hike is therefore also possible for longer distances.

The world-wide famous Saalachtal offers a number of tours that are guided or even undertaken alone. From beginners to experts, one hikes over the deeply snowed pastures and trails, always on the look-out for tracks of local wild animals. The summit is not the target here, but rather the experience of enjoying nature and the environment in a unique peace that will easily enthral you.
